Summary

Periodly is an offline-first school timetable app for Android. Everything you create — teachers, classes, subjects, timetables — is stored only on your device. We do not run a backend, we do not analyse your usage, and we do not share anything with third parties for advertising.

1. What data we handle

Two kinds of data pass through the app:

Google account profile — when you sign in with Google, the app receives your email address, name, profile picture URL, and Google's stable user identifier (the sub claim). This is the only way Periodly knows whose device this is.
Data you type into the app — branches, teachers (name, email, phone, employee ID), subjects, classes, and the timetables you generate.

Both kinds are stored in a local SQLite database on your phone. They are never uploaded.

2. What we do not collect

No location data.
No contacts, photos, files, calendar, or microphone/camera access.
No usage analytics, ad identifiers, or device fingerprinting.
No tracking across other apps or websites.

3. Network access

The app needs an internet connection only for two narrow purposes:

Google Sign-In — handled by Google's official SDK. Periodly never sees your password.
Anonymous crash reports — if the app crashes, an anonymous stack trace is sent to Sentry. These reports contain no personal data and no content from your timetables.

All other features work fully offline.

4. Children

Periodly is intended for school staff and administrators. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

5. Your control over your data

Delete in-app — open Settings → Delete my account. This revokes Periodly's access to your Google account and wipes the local database. The action is immediate and cannot be undone. See the account & data deletion page for full details.
Uninstall — removing the app from your phone removes everything Periodly stored on it.
Revoke Google access elsewhere — you can also revoke Periodly's Google permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

6. Security

Sign-In traffic to Google uses HTTPS. Local data on your device is protected by Android's standard app sandbox — it is not encrypted at rest by Periodly itself. We recommend enabling a screen lock on the device.

7. Third-party processors

Google — sign-in and identity verification.
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — anonymous crash reports only.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and announce the change in the app's release notes on Google Play. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
